- Cáncer estaba inicialmente representado por la tortuga. Las tortugas tienen un caparazón duro y un interior muy suave. Tanto las tortugas como los cangrejos se esconden en sus caparazones cuando tienen miedo, y caminan lento pero seguros. Dentro de la historia griega, la música toma un papel sumamente importante. Los poetas cargaban con liras que eran el instrumento por excelencia de la civilización, un instrumento de cuerdas que se dice su invención forma parte de la mitología griega. Hermes, el dios de la retórica, hijo de Maya )la madre luna= quien inventó este instrumento que realizó con el caparazón de una tortuga.
- Para los romanos en cambio, las tortugas con su caparazón representan uno de los métodos o sistemas de defensa más efectivos de la naturaleza, gracias a su dureza y la forma que encierra todo el cuerpo del animal las mantiene a salvo de depredadores y les permite cumplir con sus longevas vidas. Es por ello que una de las estrategias militares más efectivas del ejército romano en su apogeo era la formación tortuga. Los soldados se juntaban hombro con hombro y fila con fila en pequeñas células donde los más externos acomodaban sus escudos hacia afuera y los del centro hacia arriba.
- Para el signo de Cáncer es muy importante sentirse seguro y estar en sincronía con sus raíces emocionales y hereditarias. Sentirse en casa de manera confortable y en un ambiente en el que se sienta acogido y en paz.

- For the Romans on the other hand, turtles with their shell represent one of the most effective methods or defense systems in nature, thanks to their hardness and the shape that encloses the entire body of the animal keeps them safe from predators and allows them to fulfill their long lives. That is why one of the most effective military strategies of the Roman army at its peak was the turtle formation. The soldiers met shoulder to shoulder and row with row in small cells where the outermost ones arranged their shields outward and those from the center upwards.
