Tolstoi fue considerado uno de los más grandes novelistas del mundo. Todos conocemos sus grandes obras Guerra y Paz y ANA KARENINA, pero una de sus obras que impactó profundamente tanto a Gandhi como a Martin Luther King fue “Una confesión“ escrita después de haber experimentado una profunda crisis moral, seguida de lo que él consideraba un despertar espiritual igualmente profundo. Se convirtió en un ferviente anarquista cristiano pacifista que no creía en la violencia activa. “Si no hubiera sufrimiento, el hombre no conocería sus límites, no se conocería a sí mismo“. ¿Dónde vemos el despertar de Tolstoi en su despertar espiritual?

He became a fervent pacifist Christian anarchist who did not believe in active violence.
